New head for ATA
The Chief Executive Officer of the Alternative Technology Association (ATA), Bruce Campbell, has resigned from the position and Ian Porter has taken up the role.
Bishop to head ACA
Ken Bishop is set to become the next Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Catalogue Association (ACA) when Chris Lee-Brown retires in July of this year.
Neuroscientist awarded Macquarie Group Fellowship
The Macquarie Group Foundation, Multiple Sclerosis Research Australia, and the UK MS Society have awarded their first joint Fellowship to distinguished neuroscientist Dr Julie Morahan, who will receive £50,000 per year for a three-year post doctoral study into the genetic predisposition of MS at Oxford University.
New President of AMA
Sydney-based obstetrician and gynaecologist Dr Andrew Pesce has been elected to a 12-month term as the new Federal President of the Australian Medical Association and replaces Dr Rosanna Capolingua, who held the position for two years.
