Following consultation with the not-for-profit sector, the Federal Government has announced that it will extend the start date of the Australian Charities and Not-For-Profit Commission to 1 October 2012.

The Independent Cinemas Association of Australia has welcomed Adrianne Pecotic as its new CEO, and the World Society for the Protection of Animals Australia has appointed Carmel Molloy as its new Country Director.
