Longstanding contributor to the not-for-profit sector, Janet Whiting has been appointed as the new President of the Victorian Arts Centre Trust, replacing Carrillo Gantner, who has served in the role since 2000.
A commercial lawyer, Whiting has been actively involved in the not-for-profit sector for many years, particularly in the areas of arts and health. Her current roles include Deputy Chairman of the Victorian Major Events Company and a Director of the Royal Women’s Hospital.

In announcing the appointment, Victorian Arts Minister Lynne Kosky also acknowledged the significant contributions of the outgoing President. “For almost a decade, Carrillo Gantner has led the Arts Centre Trust with great insight, enthusiasm and a tireless passion for the performing arts.”
